Dr. Samantha Teague, from Brooks, GA, graduated from the University of Georgia's College of Veterinary Medicine in May 2023.
Samantha started her career in veterinary medicine in 2010 as a receptionist at her local animal emergency clinic, and in 2012, she was crossed trained as a veterinary assistant. To gain more experience, she then went to a day practice in 2013. During her time as a veterinary assistant, she gained crucial knowledge in animal care and what it takes for animals to heal from illness and injury, and to keep them healthy. She loves the challenges of what veterinary medicine has to offer and seeing patients thrive! In 2016, she went to Georgia State University to get the prerequisite courses needed to apply to UGA's veterinary medicine program. Her interest includes parasitology, dermatology, and soft tissue surgery. She started at Butler Creek Animal Hospital in June 2023.
Samantha is married to her wonderful husband, Evan, since 2020. When she is not working with animals, she can be found sewing, baking, going on long walks, or reading a good book under a pile of blankets with a cup of tea. Samantha and Evan are looking forward to starting their lives together in the Acworth area. They have recently started a garden with all honeybee friendly plants and hope to add hives soon!
